We have partnered with Illawarra/ Shaolahaven Health District assisting to fill their Specialist positions in Anaesthetics. The Consultant positions are primarily based out of Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital.

 

Located on the beautiful NSW south coast, Shoalhaven is bordered by mountains, coastal plains and 100 magnificent beaches with 49 towns and villages.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Anaesthetist will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the Anaesthetics Service. The Anaesthetist is responsible for the provision of specialist anaesthetic services to emergency patients, inpatients and outpatients at the relevant Hospital.

The Anaesthetist will ensure provision of high quality anaesthetic services to all patients within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.

The Anaesthetist will proactively:

* Support the development of anaesthetic services

* Support and facilitate a culture of learning and best practice

* Support and develop anaesthesia research within the department

 

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

1. Specialist registration or eligible for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

2. Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) and/or equivalent specialist recognition or eligible for Fellowship within 6 months of interview.
