We are hiring a Production Control Administrator / Stock Controller

We have a great opportunity with a leading manufacturer in Coventry CV2, for a Production Controller / Stock Controller.

The role is a central part of the team, controlling the scheduling, stock ordering and other operational admin functions for this area.

You will be responsible for the efficient setting of the different daily production schedules within your area, balancing the requirements for different production areas whilst ensuring that agreed customer delivery dates are met – you will work under the guidance of the area Supervisor.

Other duties will include:

  • Closing off previous days schedules, including moving any unfinished items onto new schedules, and filing any required items that are part of our quality system.
  • Create planned purchase orders for stock components following our stock control system, feeding back on any suggested changes or potential shortfalls.
  • Administrative functions involved with moving our raw materials between different site locations.
  • Always Operating in a safe manner, reporting any potential safety issues to your supervisor or manager where appropriate.
  • Setting schedules for daily production in a balanced and efficient manner in order to meet our commitments to our customers
  • Creating and updating future daily schedules as orders come into the business in order to balance orders with medium/long lead times against 1-3 day lead time orders
  • Filing of physical schedules as required to meet our ISO obligations
  • Update the office whiteboard with daily figures to create clear visual management for the rest of the team
  • Create each day’s additions schedules following the order cut off for overnight orders
  • Setting schedules for daily forming of skins to efficiently meet the requirements of our Kanban system
  • Raise planned purchase orders daily for stock components based on our order card system and AX system reports, working closely with our Purchasing Manager to work around any potential supplier issues and expected changes in order levels
  • Undertake monthly stock takes

We are looking for somebody who has a positive “can do” attitude, with attention to detail and a safe attitude to work, good communication skills and able to understand the impact of decisions in regard to balancing different requirements to ensure we achieve high efficiencies and excellent customer service.

Salary £21,000 to £24,000 DOE
