Trainee Mechanical Design Engineer
Bradford 25-30K, training and progression, early finish Friday
Entry level role for a Mechanical Engineer to join a successful company who can offer full training and progression to a senior role long term. We are keen to hear from HNC or HND qualified candidates or enthusiastic shop floor engineers with some knowledge of 3D design looking to change direction.
As The Mechanical Design Engineer you will:
- Work in a team of experienced designers who will train and mentor you to work independently.
- Initially undertake basic design work for standard structures progressing to complex and one off projects
Once trained you will
- Produce drawings for manufacture using Auto Desk Inventor
- Undertake FEA calculations.
- Produce accurate bills of materials.
- Work on projects from concept to design approval.
- Work to tight deadlines and project milestones.
- Ensure design compliance with all legal regulations, industry policies and customer specifications.
The Person
- HNC, HND qualified in a mechanical engineering discipline.
- Have worked with 3D software SolidWorks or Inventor
- Have a strong work ethic and the desire to learn and progress.
- Fully understands all aspects of the design process.
- Self-motivated with good organisational skills.
- A self-starter looking to grow their skills as an engineer.
