Job Summary:
As an Accessories Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining aviation accessory components. This includes troubleshooting, repair modifications, testing, and inspecting aviation accessory equipment to ensure they are fully operational.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Repairs and Modifications: Perform repairs, modifications, and tests on accessory components following manufacturer instructions and repair station protocols.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose product failures and conduct necessary maintenance to restore components to working order.
  • Testing: Operate electronic test equipment to conduct tests and troubleshoot issues.
  • Tool Utilization: Correctly use hand tools to perform required maintenance tasks.
  • Soldering: Perform soldering tasks in compliance with industry standards.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete all required documentation of work performed and inspections conducted.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with managers and co-workers to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Production Assembly: Conduct routine production assembly operations on CFM56 engine mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and other aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories according to OEM manual procedures.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
    • Engine harness wire routing and wire dressing.
    • Harness repairs and cannon plug repairs.
    • Wire hook-ups, resistance checks, and continuity checks.
    • Functional testing of fuel nozzles.
    • Testing and repairing ball screw actuators and VSV actuators.
    • Operating testing equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average workday.
  • Mobility: Regularly required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
