Tax Manager (Big 4 Candidates Welcome)

Our client is one of the market leaders in the industry, operating in 10+ markets globally. They are currently looking for a detail-oriented and competent Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance and tax planning across regions.

• Responsible for both tax compliance and advisory
• Good command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for completing HK/SG corporate income tax returns, including all related preparation and analysis to ensure full compliance.
• Collaborate with the local FNA to oversee global direct and indirect taxes (VAT/GST for routine exposure assessment) and other tax filings, minimizing potential tax controversies.
• Analyze tax data (including ETR) to provide insights and improvement plans to management.
• Prepare and review tax inquiries in HK and overseas, communicating with both internal and external parties.
• Monitor tax assessments and tax payment trends to provide insights and improvement plans.
• Establish appropriate internal controls to ensure global tax compliance.
• Manage external advisors, review deliverables, and tax professional fee budget.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting or related disciplines; CPA qualification is a must
• At least 7 years of comprehensive HK tax compliance experience in Big 4 or Big 4 + commercial firms
• Excellence in HK/SG tax and accounting knowledge and working knowledge for HFM tax reporting
• Familiarities of corporate income/VAT/GST in other jurisdictions would be a plus
• Excellence in analytical, problem-solving, reporting, and presentation skills
• Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
• Self-driver and quick adaptability in cross-function collaborations with people/teams from different backgrounds
