On behalf of RSA, AMS are looking for a Compliance Assurance Manager for a 6 Month contract based in Manchester or Liverpool .

The Opportunity

Jobs like this involve the monitoring, measurement and management of regulatory risk to provide assurance to senior management on the standard of regulatory compliance relative to risk appetite within the UK region.

You will spend your time working closely with the business to review and assess regulatory processes and controls.

You will be required to provide commercially aware technical guidance to challenge, support and provide information to the senior management teams to ensure any non-compliance is remediated in a timely and appropriate manner.

You will use your relationship building and influencing skills to effectively carry out the monitoring activities and assess the level of compliance with regulatory requirements in the business area, contributing to the development of a strong compliance culture.

The Individual

• Conducting compliance monitoring activity (e.g. audits etc) and ensuring the implementation of remedial work arising from this are delivered in line with the defined requirements;
• Reviewing the processes and controls on how new and existing regulatory and Group RRC requirements are being communicated and embedded in the UK business;
• Apply practical, proportionate and sustainable remediation to regulatory risk issues identified in the course of monitoring;
• Monitor the resultant actions allocated to business owners to ensure agreed actions are delivered to agreed timescales; and
• Proactivity in carrying out monitoring activities to provide assurance on identifying relevant regulatory issues;• Deliver allocated compliance reviews on time and according to requirements
• Satisfaction of the business in terms of quality and timeliness of recommendations; and

• Satisfaction of RRC colleagues in terms of: - technical knowledge and input to development of standards/solutions - quality of reporting to Head of Compliance Assurance.

Additonal Criteria :

Experienced Compliance professional who has audit skills and understands the FCA handbook and priorities
General insurance background , 
Proven track record of assessing and advising on the impact of regulatory change & actions required to address impact

Proven track record of developing compliance solutions through working with the business
