An exciting position has become for a talented Clinical Nurse Manager working in the aged care area who has an understanding of the new aged care standards, compliance, clinical governance and what is needed to pass accreditation from a clinical perspective.  Our client is truly committed to investing in the highest quality of care being delivered to residents at all times.

You will be reporting to the Facility Manager and this is a key clinical leadership role with clinical accountability. The Clinical Nurse Manager works in collaboration to achieve best practice person centred clinical care, aligned with the Clinical Governance Framework and Aged Care Quality Standards.

The ideal applicant will be an experienced CNM within an aged care setting – you will be highly motivated, adaptable, and willing to be drive clinical excellence to deliver the highest standard of care on a consistent basis. As a senior clinical leader, you will lead by example and inspire others to achieve the absolute best outcomes for residents, whilst educating and mentoring your own clinical team to success.  You will enjoy training others in the clinical area and will need to have the ability to identify skill gaps.

You will need to demonstrate a passion and determination for creating a positive impact on all clinical care for the residential facility. This is a permanent position working 5 days a week working Monday to Friday ever week.

On a day to day basis:

You will be responsible for ensuring that your clinical and care team are high performing and committed to deliver outstanding person centred care services.  Additionally, you will manage the clinical service delivery to meet resident's & their family’s needs and be familiar with the new AN-ACC Funding Model identify new funding uplift opportunities for residents:

  • Lead the clinical team in all care related activities and ensure care plans are kept up to date
  • Provide clinical leadership, advice and support to nurses
  • Ensure the facility functions in line with Residential Aged Care quality standards, legislation, auditing, compliance and best practice guidelines
  • Ensure AN-AAC opportunities are being identified so the resident receives additional services (training will be provided
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Deliver training to staff – both clinical and non-clinical – identify skills gaps and deliver training
    CNM
  • Identify clinical and care systems, process and performance gaps and provide support to develop corrective action plans - drive clinical and care system development, implementation and monitoring
  • Lead the accurate and timely completion of reporting and documentation in line with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, professional standards, policies and procedures
  • Lead the clinical team in all care related activities and ensure care plans are kept up to date
  • Identify areas for improvement and apply Continuous Quality Improvement approach
  • Support the Facility Manager with recruitment, orientation, management and rostering
  • Provide training to the clinical team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Carers
  • Assist in the management of complaints and procedures
  • Participate in HR process including on-site training, recruitment and performance management of clinical staff

 

Experience Required:

  • Must be an AHPRA Registered Nurse with a Nursing Degree
  • Must have Aged Care experience
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve the required service relationships outcomes.
  • Very good leadership skills – demonstrate excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong time management skills – ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Must be prepared to apply for a NDIS Clearance if successful
