Our client is a unique real estate business that looks to combine iconic real estate assets with digital technology. The company continues to expand rapidly and you would be joining a very vibrant and fast paced environment. The aim of the role is to support the Head of Tax in providing a broad range of VAT services to the group, providing an effective in-house tax advisory and compliance function. Given the continued expansion and small nature of the team, the successful candidate would have the opportunity to work on a variety of VAT tasks and will develop a broad skill set.
Duties
- Working with the finance team to ensure the accurate and efficient preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Advising the business on various VAT related issues
- Managing HMRC enquiries
- Drive improvement in the group's tax processes
- Managing VAT registration and de-registration
- VAT partial exemption calculations and annual review
About you
- Professional qualification (ACA, CTA, ACCA)
- Experience of UK real estate VAT compliance / advisory matters
- You need to be proactive as there is ample opportunity to mould this role around your career expectations
- Ability to build relationships with various stakeholders
