TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR

We are recruiting an experienced Transport Supervisor to join a leading European logistics company in Hull. This is a Temp to Perm Vacancy with great opportunities to progress, offering a starting salary of £36,000 plus increased Holiday entitlement

Monday to Friday 1:30pm – 10pm

The Transport Supervisor role is Permanent position that will commence with immediate effect however, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this.

Job description

The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for supporting and executing all deliveries and depot movements and ensuring all customer requirements are fulfilled in line with compliance and obligations. Day to day you will be expected to;

·       Supervise day-to-day transport operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.

·       Monitor vehicle availability, utilisation, and maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

·       Ensure that all transport activities comply with current legislation, including tachograph, Working Time Directive (WTD), and driver hours regulations.

·       Liaise with internal departments and external customers to ensure service levels and delivery requirements are met.

·       Support and understand forward planning requirements

·       Conduct regular driver briefings, performance reviews, and training to enhance efficiency and safety.

·       Oversee the completion and accuracy of transport documentation, including manifests, delivery notes, and compliance records.

·       Assist in managing breakdowns, vehicle servicing, and arranging MOTs to ensure the fleet is fully operational.

The successful candidate:

To be considered for the position of Transport Supervisor, you must;

·       Have previous experience working as a transport supervisor

·       Have a good understanding of compliance within the transport industry and driver hours

·       Be able to work at a fast pace and think on your feet – no two days are the same

·       Be able to work to strict deadlines in a fast paced environment

·       Ideally have experience dealing with C+E drivers
