CS Core Network Engineer

A leading technology company have an immediate need for a CS Core Network Engineer to join their team in Madrid.
We are looking for candidates with 5 years’ experience in GSM/UMTS/IMS network operations working on GSM/UMTS core network – HLR/HSS, STP/DSC, SMSC and USSDGW platforms and Circuit switched communications protocols such as SS7 (including SCCP, TCAP, MAP and CAMEL phases 1 to 4), SCTP (SIGTRAN), Diameter, including ability to design and configure voice, Circuit Switched, Packet Switched and messaging flows.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the Circuit Switched Core Network design and delivery.
He / She will provide third line support of the Core Network elements like HLR/HSS, STP/DSC, SMSC, Provisioning Gateway, etc.

Skills:
- Knowledgeable of GSM/UMTS core network – HLR/HSS, STP/DSC, SMSC and USSDGW platforms.
- Circuit switched communications protocols such as SS7 (including SCCP, TCAP, MAP and CAMEL phases 1 to 4), SCTP (SIGTRAN), Diameter, including ability to design and configure voice, Circuit Switched, Packet Switched and messaging flows.
- Hands on with sniffers, Wireshark and testing tools advanced mode.
- Hands on with Linux/Unix based systems.
- Understanding of 3GPP, ITU-T and ANSI standards.
- Understanding of roaming agreements and IR.21, including IREG testing.
- Strong writing and documentation skills are needed to develop reports.
- Adaptability and responding to change.
- Experience on NetNumber TITAN product solution (HLR/HSS, STP/DSC, SS7 Firewall)
