Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Location: Newport NP11 7HZ

Pay Rate: £11.91 – £23.82 per hour

£11.91 per hour (Basic) – Worked hours within shift pattern
£17.87 per hour (Overtime x 1.5) – apply for worked hours on Saturday
£23.82 per hour (Overtime x 2) – apply for worked hours on Sunday

3-shift Rotation:
Week 1 – Mon-Fri 06:00-14:00
Week 2 – Sun-Thu 22:00-06:00
Week 3 – Mon-Fri 14:00-22:00

Job Description:
he Warehouse Operative will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely picking and packing of orders, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Picking: Accurately pick items from storage areas according to picking lists.
• Packing: Carefully pack items for shipment, ensuring products are protected and packaged according to company standards.
• Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
• Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damages and report any discrepancies.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
• Accuracy: Maintain accurate records of picked and packed orders, using handheld scanner
• Housekeeping: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other warehouse staff and supervisors to meet daily and weekly targets.

Requirements for Warehouse Operative position:

Experience:
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required.

Skills:
Attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing.
Basic computer skills for data entry and order processing.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry items (up to 15kg) and stand for extended periods.
Good physical stamina and manual dexterity is a plus.
