Monday to Friday 35 hour week – between 8am-5pm, 1-hour lunch break
25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
Our client is highly successful and well regarded within their sector and they have created a new role due to growth within the business.
The successful Storesperson / Buyer would need to have worked within the engineering / manufacturing sector previously as purchasing parts for their on-site machinery will be a key focus for this role.
You would be happy with a varied and fast-paced role where your time will be split between being based in the stores (this will be quite a physical on your feet role) and being in the office. Candidates with a valid forklift licence would be of particular interest.
Duties for this Storesperson / Buyer role will include but not be limited to:
- Managing and controlling stores stock
- Purchasing stored items
- Managing the day to day supplier relationship
- Proactively sourcing alternative parts and components
- Checking deliveries and receipts of goods into the computer systems
- Raising purchase orders
The successful Storesperson / Buyer will have / be able to:
- Previous engineering / manufacturing stores / purchasing experience
- Previous forklift experience (ideally with a currently valid licence)
- Excellent organisation skills
- Good computer skills
