Our client is offering a contract opportunity for a Sailmakers mate to join their team based at their Devonport site. The successful candidate will be working in a safety critical role and will be required to perform accordingly. Successful candidates would need to be prepared to work shift work and overtime to support the business needs.

Role: Sailmakers mate
Contract: 6-months
Hourly Rate: 16.44 p/h PAYE - £20.32 p/h via Umbrella + Radius Allowance
Location: Plymouth, Devon
IR35 Status: Inside

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC for this role.

Responsibilities:
 

• Manufacture and fitting of Radiological containments.
• Manufacture of protective weather screens and covers.
• Manufacture of soft furnishings.
• Manufacturing of gaskets: -Rubber/Sentinel/Thermiculite
• Work as part of a team.
• Problem solving.
• To gain a good knowledge of Health and Safety.

Qualification required:
 

• A background in Textiles/fabrics.
• Qualifications required in English and Maths.

This position requires supporting in radiological areas at times.
