Our opportunity
We are looking for a SAM Lead to run Software Asset Management operations with an objective to optimise software contract spend, manage compliance, analyse data, draw the relevant conclusions and then work with others to implement opportunities or remediate risks. This is a challenging role, requiring a broad understanding of IT technology, service management processes and the ability to collaborate with many different stakeholder groups within the company.
Responsibilities:
• Provide forward looking direction for SAM specialists and ensure that SAM operation services are provided in an effective manner.
• Manage budget, provide transparency of costs for SW contracts.
• Oversee the management of contractual agreements, proactively identify and drive initiatives to achieve savings, developing best practices and processes.
• Identify necessary changes and play key role in the complex software contract negotiations, manage demand and contract updates, liaise with external vendors, legal, contract and sourcing teams.
• Provide consulting advice and recommendations as SAM subject matter expert for IT projects.
Your Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 7+ years of experience in developing and implementing asset management tools, frameworks and governance of which 3+ years in direct ownership of SAM service delivery.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Strong organization and productivity skills, ability to interface with managers, staff and stakeholders within the organization.
• Exceptional analytical skills, financial and commercial acumen.
• Good time and project management skills.
• CSAM or any other accreditation in SAM discipline (preferred)
