Aerospace Disassembly Technician

Salary: GBP25100 - GBP25100 per annum

I am seeking an Aerospace Disassembly Technician to join my renowned aviation industry client based in West London on a permanent basis.
The role involves dismantling large aircraft assemblies to a high standard and without causing damage to any individual components.

Role:                     Aerospace Disassembly Technician
Location:              West London
Shift:                     Monday -Friday  -  For 6 to 12 months Double day shift 6am -2pm following week 2pm - 10pm  then transferred to Night Shift 
Salary:                 From  £25,100 + Shift allowance

Main responsibilities:

  • Disassemble aircraft structures to a high standard and I.A.W the manufacturer instructions, without causing damage to any individual components.
  • Preparing parts for next operation ensuring parts are correctly identified and presented in a manner where damages will not occur.
  • Report to Team Leader if damage occurs so that improvements can be investigated.
  • Carry out missing and damaged inspections.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • An apprenticeship within a mechanical assembly / disassembly environment would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Previous knowledge and experience of using of hand tools, with good manual dexterity.
  • Good knowledge, awareness and understanding of PPE.
  • Previous use of overhead cranes and forklifts would be preferable.
  • It would be preferable but not essential for the applicant to have worked in an aerospace environment.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Happy to undertake training in the use of overhead cranes.
  • Physically fit to be able to disassemble and assist in the lifting of heavy aircraft components.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements in a workshop.
  • A strong team player with excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Punctual, reliable, honest, trustworthy with the ability to work under own initiative.
