My client is looking for a RF Test Technician to join on them on a 6 month contract. As a RF Test Technician, you will be responsible for performing RF TEST activities and provide technical support to the requirements of the business units & customers
This is a hands-on role that will keep the post-holder busy with a wide variety of tests at the heart of the build phase of these world leading projects
Role: RF Test Technician
Pay: £26.00 per hour via Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Location: Stevenage
Contract: 6 Months – 37 hours per week Monday - Friday
Job Profile
Perform S parameters, Passive Intermodular Testing (PIM) and Power Handling testing on Antenna Feeds and Filters to a high technical standard. This includes correctly setting-up of test equipment and ensuring test equipment is operated in the correct manor and within calibration.
- Assist the RF Lead Engineer and other Engineers to achieve the goals of the department.
- To review test procedures and comment on their content.
- Maintenance of the associated test facilities.
- Ensure that all testing is performed in a safe manner.
- Production of accurate test reports.
- Insuring test logs are completed to a high standard and all measurement data is accurately recorded, stored and filed. All associated documentation is generated.
- Participate in the development of the RF test facility, suggesting new ideas to improve efficiency and technical competence.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by the RF Lead Engineer.
Skills/Experience Required
Essential –
3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Desirable –
Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing
Interview will require on site test, so safety footwear and clothes required
Education & Training
Essential – Strong experience in a similar role

Clearance
The successful candidate will be required to apply for and receive a basic disclosure certificate prior to commencement of the contract.
