Continuing Airworthiness Manager (MT123) Malta

Salary: GBP50 - GBP55 per annum

We are seeking an individual who thinks outside the box, questioning ideas, solutions, and

processes, and focuses on continuous improvement, and personally seeks to add value in every

work assignment. The employment shall be on an indefinite basis and we are offering a salary

that remunerates the skills and competencies of the candidate. The individual shall be based at

the company’s offices at the Central Business District in Birkirkara.

 

We are looking for a Continuing Airworthiness Manager whose responsibilities will be to:

  • Present the aircraft maintenance program and its amendments to the Civil Aviation Directorate

at Transport Malta

  • Manage the continuing airworthiness of Harmony’s aircraft listed on the approval certificate and on the AOC
  • Extend the airworthiness review certificate (ARC) issued by the competent authority or by another

approved CAMO

  • Own and manage the approved maintenance program, including the reliability program
  • Manage the approval of modification and repairs
  • Ensure that all maintenance is carried out in accordance with an approved maintenance program
  • Ensure that all applicable Airworthiness Directives (AD’s), Service Bulletin (SB’s), Information
  • Advisory Notices (IAN’s) and other safety bulletins are applied
  • Ensure that all defects discovered during scheduled maintenance or reported are corrected by an approved maintenance organisation
  • Ensure that the aircraft is taken to an approved maintenance organisation whenever necessary
  • Coordinate the scheduled maintenance, application of AD’s, the replacement of service life-limited parts, and component inspection to ensure that work is carried out properly
  • Manage and archive all continuing airworthiness records and operator’s technical logs
  • Ensure that the mass and balance statement reflects the current status of the aircraft
  • Ensure that recommendations from audits carried out by the competent authority and QM are processed, followed up, and communicated back in an appropriate manner
  • Maintain a good relationship with the Part-145 maintenance organisation and Civil Aviation Directorate at Transport Malta

 

Who you are:

  • You should possess a relevant engineering degree or an aircraft maintenance technician qualification with additional education. A relevant engineering degree refers to an engineering degree from aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionic or other studies that are relevant to the maintenance and / or continuing airworthiness of aircraft / aircraft components. This can be replaced by five years of experience covering an appropriate combination of experience in tasks related to aircraft maintenance and / or continuing airworthiness management and / or surveillance of such tasks
  • Having at least three years’ previous experience in an airline / independent CAMO, or aircraft maintenance as an approved CAMO Manager or if at a lower level, having practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
  • Demonstrate professional behavior in accordance with Harmony Jets’ policy in all company business
  • Demonstrate appropriate attitude and behavior in support of safe working practices
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and self-driven, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and enjoy working as part of a team
  • Have proven ability to manage time and workloads for maximum efficiency, having knowledge of :Human factor principles; and o Safety Management Systems based on the EU management system requirements (including compliance monitoring) and ICAO Annex 19
  • Trustworthy and ethical, accepts and delivers on responsibilities and requires others to follow through on commitments
  • Generates new ideas and solutions from self and others. An ability and desire to go beyond the Familiar
