This well established South Wales manufacturer is renowned for the provision of a range of engineered components to a blue chip client base. Following a recent restructure they have identified the need for a career driven Technical Sales Engineer / Key Account Manager to make an immediate impact within this hugely profitable business. The role is predominantly office based, however you will spend roughly 20% of your time travelling to customer sites and attending trade shows.
Your responsibilities:
o Reporting to the Sales Director, you will manage a portfolio of existing customers to maximise sales revenue for the business.
o Prospect and deliver new business and new customers in designated markets both in the UK and abroad.
o Facilitate a rolling 3 years Sales & Marketing plan for assigned customers that forms an integral part of the corporate plan for future growth.
o Plan and execute appropriate marketing activities to facilitate Sales growth, which may include overseas exhibitions.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
o A proven track record of selling Engineered products and solutions into a manufacturing customer base
o Experience of strategic selling with proven account management capability
o The ability to travel to customer sites locally and overseas, with some stay away.
o A recognised Engineering Qualification - Mechanical Engineering / Toolmaking or similar
