We are recruiting for a Mobile Tanker Mechanic based locally to Coalville, Leicestershire.

Salary £40-45,000 per annum depending on experience.

Main responsibilities

• To inspect, service and repair tankers (primarily vacuum waste tankers) to a high maintenance standard
• Highlight all potential business commercial opportunities to line manager
• To ensure all compliance details are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• To ensure all company vehicles are driven and operated at all times in accordance with road traffic law and company policy and to ensure that you adhere to the Company Mobile Van Policy.
• To undertake all required training as deemed necessary by the company
• Provide high customer service levels whilst working to specified deadlines
• Must always adhere to the company’s health & safety policies and procedures
• The role will involve possible shift working, including weekends

Qualifications

• Time served experience working with tankers (preferably waste tankers) or HGV types (including trucks and trailers) would be an advantage
• Experience in similar fields to road tankers would be considered, such as hydraulics, pneumatic, plant machinery or other similar vehicle types.
• City & Guilds 1,2 & 3 Certificates or equivalent qualifications in a similar area would be an advantage
• Previous mobile working experience would be an advantage
• High level of enthusiasm & good communication skills
• Basic knowledge of computers and ability to complete relevant written documentation
• Good organisational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
• Initiative to work autonomously if required.
