We are recruiting for a Bid Writer for a progressive company based on the outskirts of Leicestershire.

 

Salary: Circa £45,000 per annum depending on experience.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

As a Bid Writer, you will be responsible for preparing, writing, and managing high-quality bids and proposals to secure contracts within the construction and passive fire protection sectors. Your expertise will play a critical role in showcasing our capabilities, ensuring compliance with client requirements, and driving business growth.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

·       Research and analyse tender requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of client needs.

·       Develop and produce well-structured, persuasive, and tailored bid responses, proposals, and supporting documentation.

·       Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for bids.

·       Manage bid time lines and submission deadlines, ensuring all materials are completed and submitted on time.

·       Maintain and update a library of standard bid content, templates, and case studies for future use.

·       Proofread and edit bid documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

 

About you:

·       Proven experience as a Bid Writer, preferably within the construction or passive fire protection industry.

·       Strong understanding of tender processes, including public sector frameworks and private sector contracts.

·       Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

·       Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.

·       Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in construction and passive fire protection is highly desirable.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Degree in a related field.

·       Association of Proposal Management Professional certification or equivalent is advantageous.

·       Familiarity with CRM systems and bid management software.
