Location: Sheffield (Ideal for candidates based in Sheffield, Chesterfield or Rotherham)
Type: Temporary (with potential to become permanent after 12 weeks)
We are working leading provider of commercial vehicle solutions, who are seeking a skilled Commercial Vehicle Body Builder to join their dynamic team. This role will be based on-site, with the opportunity for a permanent position after 12 weeks.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience with MIG welding, and proficiency in using all related welding equipment.
- A background in vehicle body building is essential.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- A UK Driver’s License is required, and an HGV license is a bonus.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Vehicle Body Builder, you will:
- Manufacture and assemble bespoke bodywork including tippers, plant vehicles
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide your work.
- Perform MIG welding and assemble vehicle body components.
- Utilise a variety of welding tools, hand tools, and power tools to complete tasks.
- Contribute to sub-assembly work, as well as refurbishments and new vehicle builds.
Benefits
- Hourly Rate: £13.50 to £16.00 per hour (DOE)
- Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (3:00 PM finish on Fridays)
- Overtime: Time and a half after 39 hours, Saturday morning overtime available

Experience required:
- MIG welding experience is a must.
- Prior experience in vehicle body building is essential.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow instructions accurately.
