Embedded Software Engineer - 12 month contract - REMOTE working
We are looking for an embedded software engineer to work on a contract basis for our industry leading client. You will be joining a project team, working on the design of a train management control system.
This position offers remote working for the time being that we are restricted to home working due to COVID-19. Once you are able to work on site you will be expected to be on site 3 days a week minimum, with 2 days working remotely.
It is important to note this position was deemed outside IR-35 prior to the delay till next April.
Role will include:
- Designing and developing embedded software to work in a integrated system
- Working closely with other teams involved in the system i.e. Requirements management
- Understanding and meeting requirements for the software design
- Embedded C coding
Skills and experience necessary:
- Embedded C (minimum of 5 years)
- Embedded software development work in rail (5 years minimum)
- Working to safety critical standards
- Working to the full product lifecycle
