ALG is currently seeking a skilled Aircraft Trade Assistant – Painter to join a highly regarded aircraft maintenance facility based at Eagle Farm, Brisbane. This is a casual-ongoing opportunity with full-time hours, ideal for candidates with mechanical aptitude and a painting background who are looking to break into the exciting world of aviation.

About the Role:

As an Aircraft Trade Assistant, you’ll support aircraft maintenance operations by preparing, painting, and maintaining essential ground support equipment and aircraft tooling. This role is hands-on and ideal for those who are mechanically minded and comfortable with tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and mix paint to required colour and consistency
• Clean, adjust, and prepare spray guns and equipment
• Perform rust repairs and surface prep prior to painting
• Clean and paint jet base ground support equipment
• Maintain stock levels and ensure safe use of materials
• Follow OH&S guidelines and manage hazards in the paint bay

What We're Looking For:

• Experience with hand and power tools
• Background in mechanical work or as a Trade Assistant
• Qualification in spray painting (preferred)
• Previous maintenance environment experience (desirable)
• Willingness to complete a security clearance (ASIC)
• Open to drug & alcohol testing
• Strong commitment to safety and regulations
