The Security Engineering Team Lead will oversee the protection of a fast growing, recognisable, global fintech organisation, focusing on AWS security tools and vulnerability management. This role will be responsible to build a mature infrastructure security from scratch, includes leading a growing team and managing security incidents flagged by external the external SOC.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into daily operational processes, enhancing the organisation's overall security posture. You will report to the global CISO.
About the role:
- Lead and manage the infrastructure security and monitoring function to protect both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Secure cloud workloads, particularly within AWS, using AWS native security tools like Security Hub, Inspector, GuardDuty, and Detective.
- Lead vulnerability management programs for cloud and endpoint security, ensuring continuous monitoring and protection.
- Manage security incident response, ensuring timely detection, investigation, and resolution of security incidents.
- Implement and maintain endpoint security across all devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of security requirements into operational processes.
About you:
- At least 6 years of strong experience in a similar security engineering role. Team leadership is desired but not a must.
- Strong expertise in AWS security tools and practices, including Security Hub, Inspector, GuardDuty, and Detective.
- Proven experience with security incident response, vulnerability management, and runtime security.
- Practical knowledge of endpoint security solutions (e.g., MDM, EDR), with experience in Crowdstrike and Intune being a plus.
- Strong scripting, automation, and infrastructure-as-code skills, particularly with CloudFormation and Terraform.
