A Senior Data Engineer needed at all levels for a global financial services company who build a scalable platform that enables end-to end data management solutions ranging from AI-enabled products to data driven creative services.
The core of the business unit is data and as a Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the development of their robust data platform. You’ll be part of the Data Intelligence Tribe which brings together all of the diverse data sources that then getting turned into intelligence.
What you'll be doing:
Working closely with a cross functional team of data management professionals, engineers and product managers, you'll be an integral part of the data engineering chapter and be involved in developing big/fast data services to meet business objectives.
You’ll also:
- Work with the business in designing and delivering data-driven products and promoting a data-driven culture
- Work with Engineers to develop big-data solutions
- Collaborate with Business to productionise and deploy models
- Build Data Pipelines for Regulatory reporting
- Design cloud infrastructure solutions
Ideally you will have
- 4+ years of experience in a data engineer role.
- Expert level SQL skills.
- Experience with a general purpose programming language; Python and Spark
- Experience with AWS essential
- Experience with Airflow is an advantage
- Expertise building Data Pipelines.
- Experience working with ETL tools
- Experience with iceburg, Presto an advantage
- Experience working within big data environments
- Understanding of data modelling techniques e.g. Kimball,
- Experience of agile development practices.
- Familiar with access security and Data Governance .
