Our toolmaker client has been established for more than 20 years and make moulds and tooling for an array of industry sectors across the UK. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth they are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced CAD Design Engineer to complement their existing professional team.
As they use the latest industry leading CNC and CAD/CAM technologies, the ideal CAD Design Engineer candidate will demonstrate proven experience of using 3D CAD software as this is used in order to interpret and design drawings, with the 2D/3D drawings being transformed into 3D data using Rhinoceros 3D software or Spaceclaim before the machining data is then sent to HURCO CNC machines.
Based in Walsall, the successful CAD design engineer will possess previous experience of working with Rhinoceros 3D / Spaceclaim to create and manipulate 3D models and drawings whilst working closely to customers specifications and details to ensure the end product is to the highest standard.
You will have previously worked on CNC machines such as HurcoVMX64 and will ideally possess at least 3 years previous experience gained in the use of Rhinoceros 3D, whilst being comfortable in working both autonomously and as part of a team.
Previous experience of working within the foundry or toolmaking/pattern making industry will prove distinctly advantageous, as will knowledge of VAC Forming and Polyurethane Mould Tools, and whilst basic CNC operator skills will prove beneficial, training can be provided as most work will be with the CAD systems although you will be undertaking occasional CNC usage.
