Tour Operations Manager

Tour Operations Manager (4504PE1) Sydney CBD, Sydney, Australia

Salary: AUD60000 - AUD65000 per annum + Super

The tour Operations Manager is responsible for the execution of land tour programs.  Responsibilities include managing the operations team, emergency protocols and incident responses, trip profitability, and continuous operational innovation. The Tour Operations Manager works closely with various internal teams including Product Development, Operations, Sales and Guest Services and Marketing to ensure our operations are seamless and meeting or exceeding guest expectations.  Overall your role is to Manage and finalise all aspects of a portfolio of tours in the preparation for their departure and successful return.

 

  Role Responsibilities 

  • Contact suppliers and book services
  • Prepare final clients’ documentation
  • Carry out handover with tour leader
  • Post-tour reconciliation and debrief
  • Prepare final clients’ documentation
  • Develop and finalise Tour Notes documents for each tour

 

  Experience Required 

  • Tertiary qualification, especially in Travel or Tourism, highly advantageous
  • Other formal travel industry qualifications also considered
  • Events experience highly advantageous
  • 2-3 years’ travel industry experience advantageous
  • Technical knowledge (e.g. Sabre GDS), general travel and geographical awareness
  • Experience working in events management or a professional environment that provides high-end travel services advantageous
  • Planned, organised and deadline-oriented • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written communication skills • Ability to work independently • Ability to work under pressure during busy periods

 

The Package 

  • $60,000-$65,000 + Super depending on experience
