We are looking for an Optimization Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:  

One year contract – possibly renewable

Rotational Schedule:  6 weeks In/ 3 weeks out

Location: Abu Dhabi

Working on shifts: 12 hours

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Drilling Engineer
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (optimization engineer)
• It is mandatory to have experience in mudlogging or M/LWD or directional drilling
• Strong knowledge of different aspects of drilling operations and drilling performance.

Activities:

• Monitor real-time data throughout drilling and completion operations.
• Recognize and analyse the trends in real time data which relate to improvement opportunities and the avoidance of drilling hazards. such as stuck pipe, hole problem, mud losses, Flat time improving, ILT and what are required to improve performance
• Proactively establish communication with The Company representative and notify in timely manner of improvement opportunities or potential drilling hazards using real-time information.
