Our client is hiring a Service Manager for their sheltered accommodation in Waterford.

A great role for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join a team on a full-time contract. Candidates must be highly motivated and creative, with a passion for care of the older person.
ce Manager:

Will provide a professional service in line with legislation and regulatory bodies, including the implementation of local and organisational policies.
Will ensure excellence in standard of care to resident service users by providing care plan development, finance support, infection prevention and attendance to medical appointments.
Will ensure excellence in resident care by providing effective, exemplary leadership, ensure training to care staff in cleaning processes, health and safety, professional conduct, care skills, medication management and any relevant training required for this role.
Will be proactive in-service development initiatives to ensure the highest standards and optimal quality of life to the older person.
The role will suit experienced, suitably qualified candidates with strong organisational and management skills. They will hold responsibility and accountability for the provision of the service including ancillary staff and outside contractors. Accountable to Line Manager.

Qualification /Experience

Level 7/8 Degree in a Health or Social related qualification (or suitable equivalent qualification with management qualification in healthcare).

Knowledge:

3 years minimum managerial experience within a similar health or social care setting which provide care for older persons.

Skills:

Strong leadership skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and judgement
Making critical decisions and recommendations.
Excellent organisational skills / self-motivation / self-starter.
Excellent verbal and written communication and IT skills.
Dedicated, reliable and flexible approach to work.
Skilled in advocacy and knowledge of GDPR
Ability to continue to develop and implement safeguarding policies.
Full Clean Driver's license.
