Overview:
With manufacturing sites located across the UK and EU we now require a Quality Manager to continue the success of the Automotive division. Our clients current Automotive Quality Manager has progressed within the company and therefore they require a new head to continue the success of the department.
Key responsibilities of the Automotive Quality Manager role:
- Develop, implement, and manage the company's quality assurance strategies and processes across all automotive production stages.
- Lead the quality control team in monitoring product quality and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality certifications (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to identify and address potential quality issues early in the design and manufacturing phases.
- Conduct audits, analyze quality data, and lead root cause analysis for non-conformance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide training and support to cross-functional teams on quality best practices.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve quality concerns and foster positive relationships.
The ideal candidate / Quality Manager may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Experience in automotive quality management.
- Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards, such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- Proven track record in leading quality teams and driving quality improvement projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with tools such as FMEA, PPAP, 8D, and SPC.
