Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Port Talbot
Environment: Manufacturing/Production
Role: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday (8.30am to 4.30pm)
Structure: Working closely with the Production Manager on technical and continuous improvement issues.
Pay: £36,280
Holidays: 33 days, 10% employer contribution pension, annual company bonus up to 10% of gross salary, quarterly bonus, life cover x3 of salary.

Overview:
The Process Engineer will help identify process improvements that will reduce costs, improve plant availability, increase process productivity / performance, improve H+S and environmental performance.
Key responsibilities of the Process Engineer role:
- Update and develop process flow diagrams.
- Update current process control documentation to allow maintenance H+S department and operations to fully understand how specific processes work.
- To acquire technical understanding for site process technology.
- To aid troubleshoot, establish the root causes of process issues and suggest effective corrective and preventive actions.
- To identify ways of reducing operating & maintenance costs, including energy costs.
- To develop process reporting systems and ensure that this data is produced in a form that informs the business, enables performance planning & continuous improvement.
- To specify technical requirements of new process equipment to deliver business case benefits.
- To ensure process compliance with legal obligations, engineering standards and best practice.
- Design/ plan & implement process improvement trials.
The ideal candidate / Process Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- Previous experience working in a continuous improvements focused role within a automated production/manufacturing environment or similar
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with all colleagues at all levels.
- Any Lean manufacturing focused qualifications advantageous
