Overview:

With manufacturing sites located across the UK and EU we now require a Senior Quality Engineer to continue the success of the Automotive division. Our clients current Senior Quality Engineer has progressed within the company and therefore they require a new head to continue the success of the department.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Quality Engineer role:

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's quality assurance strategies and processes across all automotive production stages.
• Lead the quality control team in monitoring product quality and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality certifications (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to identify and address potential quality issues early in the design and manufacturing phases.
• Conduct audits, analyze quality data, and lead root cause analysis for non-conformance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide training and support to cross-functional teams on quality best practices.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve quality concerns and foster positive relationships.

The ideal candidate / Senior Quality Engineer may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Experience in automotive quality management.
• Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards, such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• Proven track record in leading quality teams and driving quality improvement projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with tools such as FMEA, PPAP, 8D, and SPC.
