Production supervisor – Machining

The Basics:

Role: Production supervisor – machining department

Location: Derby

Hours: Mon-Thurs 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm and Fridays 7am-12:00

Contracted hours per week: 39hrs

Role: Permanent

Salary: up to £40000

Overtime: Paid at x1.5 Mon-Sat and double on Sundays

Holidays/Benefits: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, after every 5 years’ service an extra day holiday up to a max of 4 days, annual pay rises negotiated yearly, pension, modern work environment, free parking, uniform.

Overview:

We now require a production supervisor to lead the machining cell consisting of CNC Milling and Turning for this first in class precision engineering business.  

Overview of duties for the Production Supervisor – machining:

-            Oversee daily machining operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.

-            Lead and manager the machining cell.

-            Coordinate production schedules, materials, and resources to optimise workflows.

-            Monitor the performance of equipment, ensuring maintenance and repair procedures are carried out

-            Prepare and deliver reports on production metrics, team performance, and issues to senior management.

The ideal candidate / Production Supervisor may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

-            Must have previous experience leading production in CNC Milling/CNC Turning environment.
