Overview:

Working within a large state of the art automated warehousing and distribution business, the trainee engineer will work within and closely with the maintenance engineers.

You will be working with experienced maintenance engineers repairing automated machinery with the scope to become a fully-fledged maintenance engineer with training and qualifications for the willing candidate. This role would suit a mechanical OR electrical minded person as you will be working with conveyors, bearings and automation.

Key responsibilities of the Trainee maintenance engineer role:

- Maintain, service and repair automated machinery – with training

The ideal candidate / Trainee maintenance engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

- An mechanical skill set – ability to work with tools (spanners/wrenches), nuts and bolts

- Strong communication skills

- Electrical or mechanical qualifications
