About the Role


As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, operational accountability, and clinical and financial performance of the facility. You will drive high standards of care, ensuring quality outcomes for residents and fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to staff, ensuring a high standard of care and clinical governance.
• Oversee business performance, financial stewardship, and quality improvement measures.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance service delivery.
• Foster a culture of learning, teamwork, and professional development.
• Support and empower the nursing workforce through education and training.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and accreditation frameworks.
• Engage with key stakeholders to maintain effective communication and collaboration.
• Promote person-centred care, ensuring residents and families are actively involved in care planning and decision-making.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing (preferably in gerontology or a related field).
• Demonstrated experience in senior nursing leadership and management.
• In-depth knowledge of aged care standards, funding models, and accreditation frameworks.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and lead teams effectively.
• A commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
