An innovative and well-established South Wales manufacturer, with exciting growth plans are looking to add an experienced Quality Manager to their team. This company are part of a multi-national group and operate on a global scale and supply into a diverse range of industry sectors. They are currently looking at developing their market share in emerging markets in the US and Far East.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

To be the key contributor in delivering excellence throughout the business. Working closely with colleagues to develop and maintain a QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) mentality within a PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) framework.

  • Driving all aspects of Quality Control, Waste Elimination and Continuous Improvement with a strict focus on achieving zero defects by utilising various lean methodologies and developing critical processes.
  • Analysing all input and output areas of production, from supplier performance to customer satisfaction
  • To utilise the appropriate tools and techniques to promote and continually improve quality, health & safety, 6S and performance targets throughout the Department.
  • To ensure that the requirements of accreditation bodies such as IATF16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001 are fully met.
  • To review and monitor control parameters for all processes, identify and develop methods for controlling and implement monitors for reporting against these control parameters.
  • To address any shortcomings and improve where necessary through the implementation of robust root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
  • To liaise with suppliers and customers (internal and external) on all quality related issues.
  • To Lead in and where necessary facilitate, robust problem-solving activities in response to internal and external concerns. (8D)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a Quality Management or Senior Quality Engineer position
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing background – ideally automotive, aerospace etc
  • Experience instilling cultural change
  • Familiar with ISO standards particularly ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001
