A global manufacturing company is seeking a dynamic Production Team Leader join their growing team during its next phase of expansion. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a highly respected organisation, where you'll have the chance to build and lead a high performing production team.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • The Team Lead supports the Production Lead in managing day-to-day operations within the Production area ensuring all tasks are completed on time and correct first time.
  • The Team Lead is responsible for safely executing Production plans, allocating tasks and responsibilities to team members, and monitoring resource usage.
  • The Team Lead will conduct regular audits, inspections and quality checks to ensure all tasks meet the required specified standards, enforcing compliance to SAP system and all safety protocols.
  • The role will be expected to address any issues or conflicts within the team, escalating them to the Production Lead when necessary.
  • Effective communication and coordination among team members and departments are key aspects of this role to ensure a smooth workflow, adherence to safety and quality standards, along with maintaining positive relationships with external providers where required.
  • This role will drive and deliver a proactive culture focused on continuous improvement. The Team Lead will work to maximise safety, compliance, and productivity, whilst minimising downtime and interruption. 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing site, with a strong understanding of Operations and LEAN principles
  • Team leading experience 5+ years.
  • Manufacturing background preferably automotive
  • Leadership Qualification e.g. ILM would be desirable
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of SAP
  • Understanding of Lean 6 Sigma, and 6s principles is desirable.
