An award-winning manufacturer in South West Wales is currently looking to strengthen its Operations / Manufacturing team with the key acquisition of an NPI Project Manager, responsible for all CI and NPD project planning, coordination, execution, and completion. With investment secured for the next 5 years, this company is in a leading position to capitalise on the market. They are targeting significant growth this year after releasing a new product into market.

 

The Role:

The role will lead the Manufacturing Engineering team.

  • NPD design transfer activities from R&D to Operations
  • Organising manufacturing processes and lines
  • Manufacturing process improvements to improve efficiency, reduce cost and maximise profitability.
  • Raw material obsolescence management
  • Engineering Change Control activities
  • DfM (design for manufacture) Support to R&D
  • Manage all Operations projects including CI and NPD projects
  • Manage the development and optimising of manufacturing processes from inception through to start up
  • CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Action) management.

 

What you need?

  • Experience in an Engineering background, ideally medical or electronics
  • Minimum of HND in an Engineering Discipline, BSc in an Engineering discipline preferable. However, relevant industrial experience will also be considered
  • Proven background in project management
  • Experience of managing and coordinating activities across different departments
  • Experience with Verification and Validation testing and documentation
  • Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing processes traditionally associated with a box-build manufacturing facility.
  • CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Action) management.
