A global manufacturer that produce products and services that make a real difference in the world are currently looking to recruit for a Mechanical Design R&D Engineer. You will be responsible for developing new systems and components, as well as providing support on existing products.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Analyses research data and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal.
- Performs experiments to determine necessary engineering parameters. Uses test data, reports to determine if design meets functional, and performance specifications.
- Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and 3D models.
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
- Makes recommendations to appropriate personnel on improvements to current production processes leading to increased efficiency.
- Coordinates completion of all documents required to produce new products including creation of drawings, bills of materials
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience in CAD Packages and Solid works.
- Experience designing plastic injection products
- Experience in 3D Modelling and 3D Printer
- Five year working experience on Commercial and Industrial Product designs
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
