Panasonic Asia Pacific is the Regional Headquarter of APAC, where Panasonic Information Systems Company Asia Pacific (PISCAP) is a division company providing IT Professional Services to 63 Group companies in APAC Region.They are looking at hiring an IT General Manager to help fuel their growth and success in Singapore

The Role

IT General Manager supports APAC IT Head in providing Leadership and Professional IT Service Management to Panasonic group companies. The role is expected to lead a team of 60, with focus on business process innovation, Digital Transformation, SAP Consulting, Delivery and Support Services to 50 companies.

Responsibilities:

• IT Strategy Planning
  • With understanding business policy & direction, prepare IT strategy roadmap to support business strategy, includes working with stakeholders to define benefits
  • Provide leadership for the Service function and integrate strategic direction into the Service Program activities and goals
  • Owner of overall design and architecture of the core platform

• IT Service Management
  • Lead a distributed organization of Professional Service experts
  • Manage service planning and operation.
  • SLA and internal customer satisfactory level KPI should be met
• Program Management
  • As the Service Owner, monitor major projects with Project Management Office
  • Work with Project Management Office in terms of quality, delivery and project cost
• Resource management
  • Plan and organize team structure for projects and services
  • Develop Career plans for staff and grow expertise of Centre of Excellence
• Finance Management
  • Responsible for yearly business plan
  • Manage and control actual expenses to ensure healthy P&L

Desired Skills, Competencies and Personal Traits

• 10+ years’ experience in managing Professional Consulting Services, good knowledge of sales or manufacturing business environment, preferably with extensive SAP Professional services experience
• Sound Business acumen, strong Organisational skills and Customer focus
• Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness to lead across different geographical markets
• Experience in a people management role, passionate to build and develop high performing teams
• A self-starter who takes initiatives, ownership and demonstrates leadership qualities
• Professional communication skills in English and Mandarin
• Persistent in the face of obstacles and results-driven in a fast pace environment
• Ability to work in diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams

Educational Qualifications

Degree in Information Technology or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with experience in IT Management/Leadership

Travel Requirements

Travel is seasonal 20-30%, primarily to South-Asia Region
