Project Engineering Manager

Project Engineering Manager (23/07/2024) Puteaux, France

We are looking for Project Engineering Manager for one of our clients with the following details: Location : Puteaux, France

Starting Date : ASAP

Duration : 6 months (renewable)

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the same activity
  • Familiar with managing and large quantity of data. Knowledge of estimating software would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience in Process discipline is a plus
  • Having a previous experience in managing a team is mandatory.
  • Has excellent English written and oral communication skills as the role will include presentations for plans and estimates to Client and senior management;
  • Able to work in a multinational environment
  • Good communication skills. Human skills expected Thoroughness, technical curiosity, teamwork, autonomous.
  • French Fluent is a plus
  • Other Languages Spanish is a plus

Tasks and Duties:

  • The Project Engineering manager is responsible of the execution of the assigned project, in conjunction with the project director, if assigned.
  • Coordinates all the activities of the project.
  • Responsible of the overall results of the project, in terms of safety, schedule, quality and economic results.
  • Manages the project team to achieve the project goals.
  • Represents the company towards the Client and all the actors of the project.

Within department:

  • Assists the Head of Project Management & Control Department in ensuring the implementation and ongoing updating of standards, procedures and work instructions;
  • Exchanges experiences and best practices with colleagues within the Group;
  • Keeps up-to-date on developments and trends of the Department

Within Project:

  • Guarantees the execution of the assigned project, from the design phase to procurement, construction and commissioning and further through the period of warranty until the final acceptance; ensuring the respect of the terms of contracts and the management of risk, also with regards to insurance and financial aspects, in line with the previously determined targets, deadlines for execution and the required quality and safety levels;
  • Manages in coordination with the Project Director (if assigned) and the support of Head of Project Management & Control Department and Legal Department, contract variations and claims with Clients, Partners and Construction Subcontractors;
  • Ensures the relations with the Clients and with the Partners during the execution of contracts, in order to guarantee an efficient fulfilment of the assigned project and to obtain Customer Satisfaction;
  • Guarantee the application of available support tools for the Management of Projects, and implement improvements based on applicable feed-back from past and current projects.
