CNC Manual Machinist – Aerospace & Power Generation
We are seeking skilled Manual Machinists to join our team, machining centrifugally spun castings for the Aerospace and Power Generation industries. While time-served experience is preferred, it is not essential. You will work with a range of stainless alloys, ensuring high-quality precision machining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine large castings to specified drawings and tolerances.
- Operate various manual machines, including lathes and vertical borers.
- Ensure production deadlines are met efficiently.
- Perform visual inspections of machined castings.
- Properly mark swarf drums for alloy identification.
- Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Maintain safety standards in all activities in line with company procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to produce precise components.
- Proficiency in working to tight tolerances and using measuring equipment accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Self-motivated but also an effective team player.
- Flexible approach to work, including overtime and shift work.
- Solid understanding of health & safety, environmental standards, and quality control.
