Role Overview:

The firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Solicitor to join their growing family law team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with a strong background in divorce, financial remedy, and private children work to join a well-established and respected regional practice. The role involves handling a diverse caseload, offering expert legal advice to clients in what are often sensitive and emotional circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy, and private children cases.
• Provide legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of family law issues, with a focus on divorce proceedings, financial settlements, and child arrangements.
• Draft and review legal documents, including divorce petitions, financial statements, consent orders, and court applications.
• Attend client meetings, ensuring a high level of client care and service.
• Represent clients in court when necessary, advocating for their best interests in hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with other members of the family law team, sharing knowledge and supporting each other.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Stay updated on relevant changes in family law and procedure.

Skills and Experience:

• Qualified Solicitor.
• Proven experience in handling divorce, financial remedy, and private children matters.
• Strong knowledge of family law, with a clear understanding of both practical and procedural aspects of family cases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise with clients and build strong relationships.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently.
• Confidence in representing clients in court and at hearings.
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
