Our client, a leading company in the food processing industry located just outside of Scarborough, is dedicated to delivering top-quality products while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency. They are currently in search of a skilled and enthusiastic Production Operator to join their close-knit team. Please note that having your own transportation is a must for this position. 

As a Production Operator, you will play a crucial role in the operation and monitoring of production equipment in a safe and efficient manner. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards, as well as assisting in the processing and handling of food products. Additionally, you will perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery, maintain accurate production records, and collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and improve processes.

Production Operator Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
• Assist in processing and handling food products.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Undertake process checks and samples throughout production.
• Ensure comprehensive handover to other operators at shift changes. 

Production Operator Key Skills:

• Previous experience in manufacturing and food processing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work in a challenging environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Physically fit to occasionally lift heavy objects.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts that rotate through days, nights, and weekends.
