We are currently recruiting for the following position on behalf of our global aviation client, a leading aerospace tooling support company. Our client is a world-renowned specialist in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of aircraft tooling, engine tooling, engine stands, and aviation ground support equipment. Job Title: Customer Services Representative & Technician
Location: Amsterdam

Our client's customer service department operates across Europe. As part of the customer service team and reporting to the Customer Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing the services business in Amsterdam, leveraging your technical expertise to meet the quality, cost, and deadline objectives of our technical services. You should be willing to travel when necessary.

As a key part of the customer service team, you will be assigned to carry out the following duties.

Key Duties:

Services
 

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain aircraft and engine tooling, including engine stands, bootstraps, tripods, lifting tools, support tools, and more, in accordance with the manuals.
  • Performing minor repairs of tools at customer sites.
  • Calibrations and periodic tests of tooling
  • Perform regular inspections and tests, identify faults, and efficiently troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of repairs, parts replacements, and technical inspections.


Commercial
 

  • Prepare commercial proposals in coordination with the Service Manager.
  • Work closely with suppliers to secure the best purchasing terms.


Management
 

  • Oversee tool inventory and manage stock levels.
  • Update technical data in SAGE-ERP, including items, tools, documents, ranges, nomenclature, and equivalences.


Principal skills:

You should have a strong background in technical drawing analysis and at least 2-3 years of recognised professional experience in the industrial sector, ideally in industrial/light engineering, machining, aircraft tooling repair, or automotive/forklift repair.
 

  • Reading and analysing technical drawings
  • Proficient in English, written and verbal
  • Must be able to communicate effectively across a range of customers
  • Ability to solve technical problems as they arise using Mechanical and other skills
  • Possess strong knowledge of process including machining, turning, milling, welding etc
  • Applies a methodical and organised approach to work practises
