Our client is a world-renowned specialist in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of aircraft tooling, engine tooling, engine stands, and aviation ground support equipment. As part of its service expansion, the company is seeking a Customer Services Field Technician based in Malta. This role ensures the delivery of technical expertise to clients while maintaining high standards of quality, cost efficiency, and timely response to technical requests. This position has progression opportunities with incentives.
As a key part of the local customer service team, you will be assigned daily to carry out the following duties. This is a mobile position based in Malta with occasional trips to mainland Europe.
Key Duties:
- Building and strengthening relationships with customers based in Malta.
- Conducting initial inspections and registering tooling for servicing.
- Delivering technical expertise and conducting assessments based on drawings and technical specifications.
- Performing repairs, servicing, load testing, and calibrations.
- Conducting disassembly and assembly of mechanical and hydraulic components.
- Coordinating subcontractors
- Performing inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs at customer sites.
Principal skills:
With a foundational technical training and a minimum of a technical degree, you will have hands-on experience in the mechanical engineering sector, such as automotive, tooling, or a mechanical production environment.
- Strong mechanical skills with prior experience in repair and maintenance.
- Good knowledge of verbal and written skills in the English language
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of processes such as machining, welding, specialised processes, and metrology.
- Proficient in communication, with the ability to build strong customer relationships and a willingness to engage with potential new clients.
