Job purpose
Responsible to configure, develop and execute components’ repairs in CRC for multiple aero engine lines.

Duties and responsibilities 
 

  • Develop new parts and their processes to be implemented in CRC department, specifying the process instructions, technical requirement, executions’ capabilities and methods, and all other obligatory steps to introduce new parts into CRC production line. 
  • Develop an annual Repair Plan with an overview, short-listing, selection criteria, preparation strategies, initiating date, trouble-shooting roadblocks, improving cycles, documentation… etc.
  • Review all incoming data and customer requirements to prepare a detailed Repair Report Specifying processes gaps, tools, test equipment and other needs before repair execution, and afterwards, work instruction for Repair personnel.
  • Liaise with Production to optimize new and existing processes from commencement through delivery by assessing repair conditions and taking necessary measurements to overcome any obstacles.
  • Prepare Technical document for submission to OEM whilst ensuring compliance with the engine manufacturers, Quality Assurance and Health and safety procedures.
  • Works closely with the engineers to eliminate root causes to problems in the repair process and carry out reviews of all rejected repairs to identify trends.
  • Coordinates with Operations and other departments to ensure that the product is delivered within Production Plan & budgetary constraints.
  • Provide verbal and technical advice to customers.
  • Produce reports relating to product serviceability, repair summaries or product configuration.
  • Advise on repair improvement schemes together with feasibility studies.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting any unsafe practices /conditions.



Education/Experience Required.
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering with a minimum experience of 8 years.
  • A strong product and repair process technical background gained from within the aerospace industry.
  • A detailed knowledge of the engineering repair processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong command of the English language; score of 5.5 or higher in IELTS is required.
  • A positive ‘can do ‘attitude.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Assertive with all levels of personnel throughout the business.
  • A strong product and repair process technical background gained from within a designed, production environment.
  • An ability and experience in taking incoming Technical literature and turning it into a Work Control Document for use within an operations environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Methodical with a commitment to developing and maintaining a total quality, airworthiness and safety culture.
