Salary: GBP40 - GBP40 per hour

My client is looking for an Occupational Health Advisor to join them on an initial 6-month basis. You will be joining a new diverse and dynamic team who have brought fresh ideas and been responsible for the development of the new occupational health & wellbeing service.

Role: Occupational Health Advisor
Pay: £40 per hour via Umbrella
Location: Stevenage
Contract: 6 Months
Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 08:30 – 16:30
Security Clearance: BPSS, UK eyes only

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a proactive health service that protects and promotes the physical and psychological wellbeing of all UK employees.
  • Carry out the full remit of an Occupational Health Advisor, including health screening, health surveillance, case management.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across functions of HR, Safety and the wider business and respond appropriately to give expert guidance in the field of OH.
  • Meet different challenges of projects or work streams and demonstrate excellent organisational and IT skills in response to changing business needs.
  • Work well within a team, and as an OHA support to assist the development of the OH technicians, and the wider OH team.
  • Provide clinical advice to support the wellbeing strategy, including wellbeing initiatives across the annual calendar, and assist or deliver regular manager training activities.
  • Lead on projects and drive service delivery improvements.
  • Deliver good case management reports, health surveillance activities, prioritise and manage your time effectively


Skillset/experience required:

  • NMC RN part 1, RN part 3 – SCPHN (OH) registered
  • Experienced in Occupational Health - preplacement assessments, health surveillance, case management, lifestyle screening, travel health trained, triage and responding to queries
  • Able to work effectively, independently, and also within a team framework.
  • To succeed in the role, you need the ability to multitask, be confident with OH systems and tools, deliver good case management reports, carry out health surveillance activities and prioritise and manage your time efficiently.
  • Good written and oral interpersonal and communication skills to work well onsite and remotely.
