On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Fuel System Engineer on an initial 8 - month contract. As the Fuel System Engineer you will work on Continuous Product Development activities with our Single Aisle Products including progression of modifications to Fuel System Fluid Mechanical Equipment, investigation of in-service issues, follow-up of supplier quality issues, performing System analysis to support impact assessments of changes to the Fuel System
Role: IT Architect
Pay: £600 per day via Umbrella
Location: Newport
Contract: Monday- Friday, 37 Hours per week, 6 Months Contract
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: Current SC Clearance, British nationals only
Responsibilities
- Define a competitive end-to-end solution together with SLC experts and experts from a commercial MNO
- Deploy this future-proof system architecture and demonstrate it in a Proof of Concept
- Support tender process for mass roll-out of the planned solution for UK governmental authorities
- Take advantage of our DevOps pipeline and tailor it to feed our UK client needs
- Ensure that the solution fits smoothly into our customer’s data center environment
- As part of our dynamic and agile team, discuss and align robustness, performance and security aspects of the targeted solution
- On top, identify dependencies and drive technical requirements clarification with stakeholders across customers, to ensure a coherent end-to-end solution
Essential Skills
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or Communications or equivalent experince
- Proven experience (at least 3-10 years) in enterprise network technologies as well as experience working in complex IT environments.
- Hypervisor technologies (VMWare, OpenStack)
- Experience in scripting and DevOps tools and techniques such as GitLab CI, Ansible and Terraform. Knowledge in Kubernetes architectures is considered as a strong advantage.
- Hardware Initialization (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Servers, Storage)
- Hosting (Virtual Machines, Physical Machines, OS Stacks and services)
- Core Services (DNS, DHCP, NTP...)
- System Management and monitoring
- Strong system-level troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve high-level scalability and performance issues.
- Awareness of security threats and corresponding security know-how.
- Excellent communication skills to address needs and propose solutions towards customers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in the Public Safety industry is an advantage.
