We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Analyst with specialist expertise in Collibra and building technical connectors for Collibra. As a Data Governance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management and governance of our organization's data assets. Your main responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging your technical proficiency in Collibra to develop and enhance data connectors.
Responsibilities:
- Data Governance Framework: Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks and policies aligned with industry best practices and organizational requirements.
- Collibra Configuration: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Collibra to configure and customize the platform to meet the specific data governance needs of the organization.
- Technical Connector Development: Design, build, and maintain technical connectors within the Collibra platform to integrate and synchronize data from various source systems and repositories.
- Data Quality and Metadata Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to define data quality rules, establish data lineage, and ensure metadata consistency and accuracy within Collibra.
- Collaboration and Training: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data stewards, data owners, and IT teams, to promote data governance practices, provide training, and offer guidance on Collibra usage.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve data governance issues and challenges by analyzing and troubleshooting Collibra configurations, connectors, and workflows.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document data governance processes, procedures, and technical specifications. Generate reports and metrics related to data governance activities and progress.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to data governance and Collibra. Propose and implement enhancements to optimize data governance effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Data Governance Analyst, with a focus on Collibra configuration and technical connector development.
- Collibra Proficiency: Strong expertise in Collibra platform administration, configuration, and customization, including the development of workflows, business rules, and data connectors.
- Data Governance Knowledge: Deep understanding of data governance concepts, principles, and best practices. Familiarity with data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (such as Python or Java) to build and maintain technical connectors. Knowledge of APIs, web services, and data integration technologies.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex data governance issues, troubleshoot Collibra configurations, and propose effective solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of data governance frameworks, documentation, and configurations.
